I've always enjoyed the art of Ana Bagayan, even before I became aware of the alien/interdimensional/ancient hidden society phenomena from YouTube. Ana is a pop surrealist/low brow (cute but not so creepy) artist - and has always included colorful big-eyed characters in her art. More recently she has become known for her depictions of alien-human encounters. She became fascinated with the subject matter after noticing that most of the encounters that she read about tell of love, warmth, and spiritual awareness - she found this surprising after viewing mostly frightening depictions in science fiction. I've uploaded some of her artworks below - both pre and post 'alien'. Below these, you can find a link to her website and a video interview where she tells more about what inspires her art. Just learned of a painter named Hilma Klint. It's intriguing to discover a new artist with a unique style that is a woman. It is also an interesting correlation to find that she began experimenting with abstract painting after she experimented with contacting the dead. For now, I'd like to show you just a few of her pieces and will ask you what decade you think she was born in and why. No cheating!

Below are some things I have finished from the past and some things I just worked on for fun and experiementation. (Some are not finished just yet) I heard of an art course with teacher/mentors available online that makes use of classic teaching techniques. If you are interested check out: https://www.smarterartschool.com/home.html The artist teachers are extraordinary artist, like Marc Sheff. Or, if you love the arts and would like to support my art journey, which I hope will include more formal study, check out the "Ko-fi" link to the right of this blog. You can donate as little as the amount of a cup of coffee. It would be much appreciated, put to good use, and increase your positive karma! Don't forget, I will work for you as well, I am available for commissions.

10/24/2018 Took out a piece of scrap watercolor paper to scribble on last night but it turned into an image I kept and posted. Only problem is I spent too much time on it yet today. Perhaps if it had been planned better I would not have had to keep re-doing it. Lesson learned? The challenge for #Drawlloween, #mabsdrawlloweenclub today is the #huntersmoon. Here is my final version: Also, today was a milestone because I finally enabled prints to be made of one of my paintings on Etsy through the website Printful. I had a few problems because I already had a listing for the image for the original piece and it complicated things to add poster prints, but I finally got it to work, although I had to pay another .20 cents, even though it should not have been considered a new entry. Not a big deal, although at this time of the month I am down to zilch in my bank account until Friday. I may make prints available for a few more items and upload a few more things to my Etsy

I have painted daily this month, but not everything I have is good enough to post, in part due to my job having sporadic work days, Of course, I'm in a learning stage and none of my work is as finished as I hope it will be at some point For the Drawlloween day #28 challenge, (Raven) I created the following (and it could count for day #1 witch, although if I have time I would have like to make something more spectacular or the Witch theme. I could work on the face some more. The inspiration for the face is from a drawing by an instagram artist #_verdigo_ I can't link the Instagram page he

A true "Art Eye Love Post": A painting by John Duncan, the Scottish Symbolist: My little painting, The Faun with Birds was inspired by this painting. I will soon post more of the lovely artist work. I am inspired to create much more from his work. Just love it. I sometimes feel that I was 'born in the wrong age" haha.

WIP for Raven day 28 of Drawlloween. It started as a pre-sketch to learn to practice a face in the style of the artist #_verdigo_ (on Instagram) and will show her piece once I finish this. After working for a bit of time on the Raven, I have decided to finish it. If anyone has any ideas for the background, please feel free to comment! So far a pumpkin patch, raven family or swirling leaves co
