2nd post for 1/20/20, well actually it is 1:14 am on 1/21/20. Here are a couple of other pieces I completed today. The first one has elements traced from an old storybook illustration. I believe I have it copied somewhere, but can't find the original yet today. The girl, butterflies, and mushrooms are from the original. The path, cave entrance, and color is all my doing. I used metallic paint in this one, and I really don't like the results, but it is something I have so I try it out from time to time. The next painting is just a copy of a portrait from a photographer on Instagram. I am practicing shadows here. The sun and coloring was different in the original photograph, obviously. I've worked on a few other things but these are the only ones I have scanned in. I hope you enjoy them. I like to think that unconsciously they relate to my life. I hope that in the first one, she is about to give up but is soon to find out that a wonderful magical worl

Oops. So far I have failed in my daily posting plans here. It is now a new year, today is January 20, 2020! Martin Luther King day. So I am setting my intentions again, to post here most days, so that I have a more accurate record of my process and progress. I have been working on so many things, and while I post a few finished pieces on Instagram and fewer on Facebook, my plan is to post whatever I have worked on during the day here. So this is my intention. I will start today by showing a piece that I started yesterday, using a new (for me) product called MOLOTOW , Grafx art masking liquid. While I am using it exactly as instructed, so far I am having trouble removing the masking fluid from my painting. I used the masking fluid in the eyes, lips, nose of the face in the painting and several places on a bird and butterfly. Here are the results so far!
